In 2023, a comprehensive upgrade of the broadcast infrastructure at Euronews Georgia was successfully completed in Tbilisi. This independent Georgian-language news channel, known for its commitment to impartial journalism, underwent a major technical transformation — all without interrupting its on-air operations. The project was delivered by Broadcast Technology (BT), ensuring full modernization in line with the highest international standards.
The upgrade encompassed all key production areas, including the newsroom, control rooms, studios, editing suites, graphics, and media archive. Cutting-edge solutions were implemented from industry leaders such as Avid (iNEWS, MediaCentral, Nexis), BroadStream Oasys (playouts automation), InMedia (MAM/archive), as well as robotic cameras and high-end video production equipment.
BT orchestrated the seamless integration of these technologies into a unified production ecosystem — enabling automated workflows between editorial, editing, graphics, playout, and archiving. Personnel were thoroughly trained, and the transition was carried out in close collaboration with the Euronews Georgia team, maintaining continuous broadcasting throughout.
This modernization has elevated Euronews Georgia’s technical capabilities, delivering greater efficiency, flexibility, and resilience — and positioning the channel for sustained growth in today’s dynamic media landscape.
